Course Description: This course is designed to acquaint the choral/vocal music education major with performance techniques of four families of instruments: woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion. The class will explore the methods of performance on the primary instruments of each family.

Course Description: Reviews basic music material and covers topics including counterpoint, cadences, part writing, function theory, and phrase analysis. Course Description: This course sequence is designed to develop the practical skills of the music major through sight-singing, dictation, and improvisation, and to integrate theoretical concepts (the Theory and Analysis sequence) with various styles of music.
