International Student Admission
International Students (F1)
- To be admitted in this category, applicants must:
- Complete the Application for Admission
- Pay the $50 application fee
- Provide Proof of English language proficiency. Criteria may be met by submitting ONE of the following tests demonstrating a score that meets or exceeds the minimum requirement indicated below:
International Student Score Test Minimum Required Score TOEFL iBT 61 IELTS 5.5 Pearson's Test of English (PTE) 44 Duolingo English Test (DET) 95 iTEP 3.7 - Secondary school transcripts with English translation of all coursework demonstrating a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale must be provided for admission. Students still in high school/higher secondary must provide final official transcripts noting completion/graduation prior to the start of the academic semester. Applicants transferring from another institution who have completed less than 24 credit hours of non-ESL coursework with a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale must submit official final secondary school transcripts with English translation of all coursework noting completion and graduation.
- International students transferring from other U.S. colleges or universities must submit official and complete transcripts from each institution to determine eligibility. If the student has studied outside of the U.S., they must submit official and complete transcripts from each institution as well as a NACES accredited course-by-course evaluation to determine college credit. If the documents are not in English, the student must also provide an English translation.
Missouri Western will issue a Form I-20 once the applicant has been accepted for admission, submitted the Financial Support Form and verification of financial resources, and provided a copy of the biographical page of the passport.
Misrepresenting or Falsifying Information
Any student who misrepresents, falsifies or withholds required information will be referred to the Admissions and Graduation Committee for review and appropriate action. Such action may result in being denied admission to Missouri Western or immediate dismissal from Missouri Western. The University reserves the right to investigate and review the records of any prospective student to determine the applicant's eligibility to enroll.
