Public Planning and Administration (Bachelor of Science, B.S.)
The only undergraduate major of its kind in Missouri, the career-focused Bachelor’s Degree in Public Planning and Administration trains students to cultivate their appreciation for social sciences and humanities to improve the quality of life in their communities. Students won’t just learn social sciences and humanities, they will learn how to “do” social sciences and humanities for the greater good. Students with an interest in Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, or Sociology can put their core transferable skills to use in service to others. The Public Planning and Administration degree will prepare students for internships and employment in many growing areas: local, state, and national government; non-profit organizations; community outreach and uplift organizations; and service-oriented businesses.
Students who choose this bachelor degree program will have no more than 6 years from admission or subsequent declaration to meet the requirements listed below. If certification, accreditation or statutory requirements change and additional requirements become effective during this time, the new requirements take precedence.
