GEO 526  Geographic Information Systems     Credits: 4

Typically Offered: Spring (odd-numbered years).

Course Description: Course presents foundations and applications of Geographic Information Systems; raster and vector data models' exercises involving data collection, GPS usage, database management, editing databases and shapefiles, querying and analyzing data, and cartographic design using ESRI and Google software. Students will complete a project and paper relevant to their degree program. Three hours lecture and two hours lab.
