Allied Health Management (Bachelor of Science, B.S.)

This is a draft edition of the 2025-2026 catalog. Information contained within is subject to change.

The Department of Health Professions offers a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Management (AHM). The program is designed to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry, preparing students with both foundational allied health knowledge and specialized coding skills. The new program and coding certification addresses the demand for professionals who are proficient in both patient care and health information management.

Students intending to major in Allied Health Management should declare their interest to the Department of Health Professions so they can be assigned an advisor. Students must have completed and received a grade of C or higher in ACC 201 Introductory Financial Accounting, ACT 201 Microcomputer Applications, BIO 101 Principles of Biology, BIO 250 Anatomy and Physiology, and PSY 101 General Psychology, and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Students who choose this bachelor degree program will have no more than 6 years from admission or subsequent declaration to meet the requirements listed below. If certification, accreditation or statutory requirements change and additional requirements become effective during this time, the new requirements take precedence.

Note: Students pre-admitted into the bachelor degree program (pre-major) have three years to meet admission requirements before moving to the overall 6 year time-frame allowed to complete the program requirements.
